Storm seasons cause us to process our lives from different perspectives. In the midst of a storm there is majesty and terror all wrapped up in one emotion. These are times that we must process our storms properly. Jesus taught His disciples how to develop faith in the midst of storms. My wife, Pam, told me last night that she had a concern within her about terrorist activity. This might not be a physical storm, but should be a storm that we all thinking of as we progress into the new season ahead. This was very unusual for her to say this since she is not prone to be concerned in such areas. Therefore, be watchful in whatever storm you are going through and whatever adverse wind is stirring around you.

All through the night that Hurricane Ike came on shore, I found myself praying for all of our partners and associates. I would text Penny Jackson in Houston back and forth for updated conditions. I felt peace by 3:14AM and then began to praise the Lord. We are in trying times.

This is a season that the Lord is watching to see how we respond to our circumstances, accusations, and to the problems of others. In every year of "8" we must learn to receive "Super-Abundant Grace" and extend "Super-Abundant Grace". In this month of ELUL, there are many patterns in the Word that I am reviewing. A key pattern is from Nehemiah 6. In this passage, Nehemiah is progressing to finish the wall around Jerusalem when he meets great resistance. I love the way he responds. Events that are Changing Michigan by Pastor Barbara Yoder

Dear Pastors, Leaders and Intercessors:
 
Over the next six months there are a number of significant events taking place that I want you to be aware of.  Share this with those you know are interested in joining with us as we gather corporately in Michigan to move into the “new thing”.
 
To build a sustaining move of God in a state requires commitment to God as well as intentional, purposeful strategic actions.  No one group or individual can transform Michigan on their own.  Paul described us as living stones, connected together for the sake of the Gospel of Christ; building the kingdom of God in the sphere we have been called to.  So this effort involves the Church at the local, regional and state level.  Together we will get the job done. 
 
I believe Michigan has entered the new day Isaiah 42.9 speaks of.  The word "new" in this passage is a refreshing, restoring, renewing, repairing and rebuilding work of God.  No longer is the past relevant to us, it has come to pass.  This positions us face to face with God expecting an awakening.  Awakening means in part to wake up to, to perceive what He is doing.  We are to be expectant, filled with faith, and confident.  God promises He will give us the desires of our heart so be expectant.
 
For the next six months, opportunities are being provided where we can build relationship and secure our connection with one another across the state.  I believe leaders need to gather, the regions and state need to gather so that we are built, renewed, refreshed, and restored.  These opportunities are taking place through events, pastor's meetings and a fall conference.  Some are historical in nature affecting the entire nation.  Others are focused on positioning the state for the new day.  The following is a brief overview of what we are doing followed by an explanation of their significance for us.

Word of the Lord To Michigan  April 2007

I would say to Michigan, I am placing a new war mantle on your back.  It is time for a new arising in this new season as I anoint you afresh for the task ahead.  For I am sitting in the middle of this state to bring forth the remnant church in power and authority. There is an awakening that has hitherto been unknown.  I am creating an awakening that has already begun and will spread rapidly across this land.  And even this day, a new wind of faith is blowing in this state, in the middle of the clashing swords, the intensity of the conflict.

 

Yes, this is the year of the clashing of swords and I will put My word in your mouth which will cause the enemy to flee.  Arise and worship as you have never worshipped before.  Worship your way through April 8.  As you lift up your voice and worship not only individually but corporately, I will release revelation and strategy.  I will release new life and break the structures of death that have been trying to stop you. 

 

Fear of death has been trying to overwhelm you but fear not for I have declared that you have entered a season of recovery.  All of the forces of hell have arrayed themselves against you to shut up your faith but I say, be loosed in the name of Jesus.  There is a wind of faith blowing even now, contending with the voices of death.  You are contending for that spirit of resurrection that raised Christ from the dead.  Do not flee in fear but stand your ground and you will see the salvation of God.

 

The death has been not just over lives but dreams, promises, relationships, families, churches, cities, regions.  But I am invading the center of the battle over your inheritance.

 

This is the hour that you will finish that which has been started.  There are places that the enemy has controlled for generations and I am about to reverse those strongholds when my church arises and through worship puts on the new war mantle.  You shall rebuild the old ruins and raise up the former desolations.  The ruined cities are about to come into an encounter and the desolations of the generations will begin to be reversed.

 

It is time to rehearse your prophecies, see what God has said in the past for you have entered the season of restoration.  Fear not that which is trying to crowd out, steal your inheritance and stand up and declare this is the hour God is restoring back to me, to my family that which the enemy has stolen in the generations.  I am recovering the root of righteousness throughout families so stand up and declare the promises of God.

 

Take Back The Night

 

Take back the night, stand up and fight for this is the time for war.  Take back the night, for the enemy will begin to fear and take flight, take back the night.  Did I not start the new day with night?  I am restoring the order of the day.  Begin with the night and I will give to you the day.  For my order of the new day is first evening and then day. 

 

I am raising up a company of prayers who will gather around the state to pray from 12 to 1 AM who will order the night.  They will break the darkness that is gathering in secret to steal the day.  Hear the call to arise and pray.  I am raising up a company to pray from 3 to 6 AM who will order the day.  The prophecies of Baal are being loosed into the atmosphere during this key time, but my people are to arise and take back the night.  You shall see unusual things happen in the night hours, even signs in the sky as you take back the night.  An unusual formation is about to take place over Michigan which shall herald the release of an army of warring angels.

 

I am calling my Church to arise in this season and war.  Take back the night, take back the day, take back the people, take back the land.  Spring is the time to war.  Kings go to war in spring.  It's spring time, it's time for my kings and priest to arise in the land and make war over that which warred against you in this past season.  What the enemy stole he must return and that, 7-fold.

 

The Middle of the State

 

I shall break out in an unusual way in the middle of the state.  I am about to invade Mt. Pleasant with an explosion of worship which will cause the prophets to prophesy and the apostles to rise up with new strength to order the region.  From Mt. Pleasant, a place of war, will come a headquarters of peace.  Healing will break out and I will invade the hearts of the Native Americans for I am about to loose an unusual awakening in that place.

 

A True Voice

 

A true company of prophets is about to emerge in this state who will speak the counsel of the Lord.  Watch for the true prophetic voice in the state.  There is a war for the voice in this hour.  I will bring forth My true voice and break the sound of Baal.  Do not believe every voice but listen and discern   

 

Listen for the stream flowing from the throne of God, there is a river of the prophetic about to be loosed that shall cause the dead to rise, the sick to be healed and the bound to go free.  It will even go into the land and bring healing and deliverance.  I am about to release land and real estate deeds that has been held up for years.

 

The New Sound

 

Begin to sing a new song, release a new sound.  There is a sound being loosed in this hour.  It's the sound of the trumpets of war.  But it's also the sound of heaven, the angels singing for heaven has never been closer to earth.  It is a sound that will gather the Body to create a new formation.  They will come into formation.  It is a sound that has not been heard before. 

 

The Glory of the Lord Arising
 

I have been sitting on Michigan.  Now is the time for Me to act.  So ask what you will for  this state.  I am about to restore and reorder cities.  Darkness has settled over this state.  So it is time for the glory of the Lord to arise in a way unknown in the past generation.   The enemy thought he would hold you in darkness but I am now positioned over you, to speak, and what I say will bring it into order.  Look for the new order and ordering.  Take your place in this season, for if you align and connect properly you will see prosperity and receive the building plan for the future.

 

I say I am setting my standard in this state and from this state I will begin to break through which shall even help shift the nation.  A new mind for war is being released and you will accomplish My purpose in this season. 

 

Stand Still and See The Salvation of the Lord

 

Michigan Look Up, Michigan Look Up, see your salvation, your enemies are about to be swallowed in the sea. 

 

War over what I have promised you, war over your prophecies.  I have looked for a people who will walk this land, arise and take it.  I say I have found righteous men who are able.  This is the time, so begin to yoke yourself covenantally to me.  I am Jehovah, the Covenant Maker and Keeper.  Make your declarations and decrees, covenant with me over what I'm about to do.  For I say you will see the Lord of hosts moving over your state, prepare yourself for angelic visitation, I am Lord Sabaoath.


 Know that this is the season when I will break through the wall of darkness and I will put that wall between you and the enemy as I did with the Israelites and Pharoah's army.  No longer will it stand between you and God, between you and the promise.
