Call To Prayer, June 1, 2007
I watched till thrones were put in place,
And the Ancient of Days was seated;
His garment was white as snow,
And the hair of His head was like pure wool.
His throne was a fiery flame,
Its wheels a burning fire. Daniel 7:9
I was watching;
and the same horn was making war against the saints,
and prevailing against them,
“until the Ancient of Days came, and
A judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and
The time came for the saints to possess the kingdom. Daniel 7:21
Call to Prayer. Michigan has been called to raise up a night watch, one that covers the midnight hour 12 -1A.M. and then the 3 – 6A.M. Chuck Pierce in November 2006 spoke to our state and shared: “Michigan must take back the night, to avoid becoming the Islamic stronghold structure of the nation. The Spirit of God came on me this afternoon… [and God] showed me Dearborn and said ‘It is a midnight hour there.’”
Jericho and Ancient of Days Encounters. A midnight hour is called a bewitching hour where occult (or “hidden”) forces work to hold demonic structures in place. Those structures can become strongholds that affect people, cities and regions. Chuck Pierce in essence gave our state a prophetic warning and mandate to take back the night through prayer, so we do not allow an anti-Christ structure to increase to the point where Michigan becomes a key anti-Christ structure in the nation.
When occult forces operate they seek to hold darkness in, and keep the presence of God out. Jericho is an example of a city that was shut up to the point that it was seen as being impenetrable. Its walls were thick and the gates shut up tight. It was not open in the daytime as other cities were; so no one came in or went out. Imagine a place where darkness had penetrated to the degree that the economic trade system and the people were shut up!
In the meantime, Joshua was given a mandate by God to possess a land. The first city he encountered when he stepped forward in obedience to the word of God was - Jericho! The city refused passage to Joshua, so God gave Joshua a strategy to circle around it seven times for 7 days, and then release a shout of victory over it. You know the rest of the story, the walls came down and God’s purposes went forth.
The passage in Daniel 7:9, 21 [see above], I believe expresses what took place at Jericho. Darkness overtook an area, locked it up and created a throne over a region, UNTIL the Ancient of Days came! God took His seat over the stronghold and released judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High.
This is a picture for Michigan and the mandate given to us. We are re-presenters and ambassadors of Christ on earth today. As kingdom people, we reconcile what is on earth back into relationship with God. (PS 24)
When God’s people circled Jericho, darkness was separated off of it. The strategy God gave Joshua involved him circling a city seven times for 7 days. Circling is an act of circumcision and to do something seven times, biblically meant to bring something back into covenant with God. In essence, Joshua circumcised the stronghold, making it the Lords not the power of darkness. Then a sound was released victory manifested.
Initiative Focus. Michigan is being called into a prayer season to take back the hours the enemy has used to build a stronghold of darkness in our state. The time for taking the night has come.
Beginning June 1, 2007 Michigan GAPN is launching a state-wide call to prayer where we set a watch over the midnight hours and call forth the new day. The hours we will cover include:
12:00 – 1:00 A.M., and
3:00 – 6:00 A.M.
The actual “Take Back the Night Over Michigan” will run initially from July 7, 2007 through December 31, 2008.
Mobilization Strategy
We are asking 500 individuals to commit from every region, county, and city to join in taking Michigan. We are not looking for a move of God over one region or in just one people group. We are looking for a sweeping move of God that penetrates the hearts and nations within Michigan, and see Dearborn taken over by the presence of God.
How can you respond?
Select a minimum of two days a month and a corresponding time (either 12:00 – 1:00A.M. or 3:00 – 6:00A.M.). We need you to sign up from now through the July 7, 2007. Email or phone our office to make us aware you are joining this effort. Email: cwilliams@michiganspn.org Phone: 734-662-6040
Directions. Pray individually and/or use teleconferencing to pray with 3 – 5 others during these watches. We suggest the following service for teleconferencing you group prayer time, http://www.freeconferencecall.com/gcall/signin.htm
Login to our website and share the results. We currently are posting information regarding this initiative on our website and you will be able to log in and/or email brief reports as to what you are getting in the midnight hour. The state office will be tracking this initiative and post regular updates as to how we are mobilizing and what is taking place.

Watches of night
The Jews divided the night into three military watches instead of hours. Each represented
the period for which sentinels remained on duty. These watches were the:
1. First or “beginning of the watches” - sunset to 10 p.m (Lam. 2:19)
2. Middle watch - 10 p.m. to 2 a.m (Judges 7:19,)
3. Morning watch - 2 a.m. to sunrise (Ex. 14:24; 1 Sam. 11:11)
During Roman rule, the number of watches was increased to four and was recognized among
the Jews. (Mark 13:35, Matt. 14:25)
1. Evening – 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
2. Midnight – 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM
3. Breaking of a Day (Cockcrowing) – 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM
4. Morning – 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM
WATCHMEN
“Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch
against them day and night because of them [our enemies]” (Neh. 4:9).
The watchmen we set in place over the state are to guard, protect, maintain, and peer into
the distance (see ahead of time) to watch over their lives, city, region and state.
